Every room at Cove Point Lodge provides expansive views of Lake Superior from private balconies or patios. The lodge offers Scandinavian-themed décor with king, queen, double queen, and cottage options to suit families or couples. Guests in the main lodge rooms also have access to DVD players and in-room refrigerators for added convenience.

Dining Options

Cove Point Lodge has two on-site restaurants: the fine-dining Cove Point Lodge dining room overlooking the lake and Cove Point Crossing Bar & Grill at the top of the hill. The dining room requires reservations and features an extensive wine list, while the bar & grill serves traditional American cuisine in a casual setting. A complimentary Scandinavian breakfast buffet offers herring, lingonberries, salmon spread, bagels, and cereal each morning.

Amenities and Activities

The resort has an indoor heated pool, hot tub, and sauna - the pool and hot tub area is adults-only from 9 p.m. to 11 p.m. Guests can rent bicycles directly from the property to access the paved Gitchi-Gami State Bike Trail, or borrow board games, DVDs, and art supplies from the lobby. Evening s'mores supplies are provided at the lakeside fire pit, and free coffee and hot drinks are available all day in the lodge.

Location and Nearby Attractions

Cove Point Lodge is located inside Split Rock Lighthouse State Park, at the shores of Lake Superior in Beaver Bay, Minnesota. Guests are within a 12-minute drive of Palisade Head and 15 minutes of Split Rock Lighthouse and Gooseberry Falls State Park. The Superior Hiking Trail passes through the property, and the lodge is 50 miles from Duluth city center.
